Kissing you, loving you, taking you. Those are distant memories in the past, so distant I have to remind myself it’s not just a dream I had… It really happened; I really had you.

If there is one thing I learned, it’s that anything is possible… That even the most unlikely of lovers can find each other, no matter what boundaries are set before them.

Now I feel so empty, like the greatest love I had is gone and I don’t know how to find anything close to what I felt. When will I? Will I ever?

And so I dream of what was true, what happened, and at night I live in another time… A time where I had nothing but had it all. And when morning comes I always fear I’ll have it all but have nothing. I worry I’ll grow up and see the world and come home just as empty as I feel when I think of how I can’t kiss you anymore, or how I mean nothing to you. I hope I don’t, though… I hope for either your return or for the strength to move forward.

I realize that there are many incarnations of vampires where a person who becomes a vampire ends up better looking than he or she was before being turned. Apparently in the Tulsa Ballet’s Dracula, all female vampires end up with the same hair.
